You mean it's not the place to get into a protracted political discussion as long as you get the last word :)
Your argument isn't necessarily wrong but it's nonsensical to the discussion as you could replace Tesla with fossil fuels and it would be just as correct. Surely that's a technology that has proven itself so wonderful that it doesn't need incentives, and yet the US tax payer is being robbed of $20 billion a year to make rich companies richer.
There's nothing wrong with having an opinion on the economics of Tesla and government subsidies, but I don't think it's reasonable to cherry pick it when 'the other side' has enjoyed far, far more enrichment at the hands of government for a much more established and proven technology.
