Gullwing door are great in a garage or near a curb! I used to have a Bricklin, and like all gullwing cars the doors only need about a foot to the side to open, which is way less than a conventional door. There's also not having to squeeze out of the door in a tight spot or the risk of dinging the car next to you. Now I don't miss the onboard air compressor and bank of solenoids and relays needed to operate them, but from a tight parking situation they're actually very practical.
