I always worry about loose wheels on semis... retreads are bad enough, but there were a number of incidents years ago of entire wheels flying off (due to inadequate maintenance) and killing people!
This may no longer be an issue?
On a bike, I do actually like drafting behind cars (on slower roads). They have way more momentum, so I can stop faster. What is good in this situation is that it is like football: you're an RB or QB running with the ball and you've got a big O-line guy in front blocking for you... it's kind of protection vs oncoming traffic... same could be said for tailgating a truck I suppose... issue there is it is hard to see around also, and we rely on seeing far down the road... I can usually see over or around a car if I'm on a bike.
