Since my driving is mostly either a stop-and-go-commute, where anything with heat, ac, and an automatic will work, and long highway trips to see family, 'niceness' on the highway is a high priority. I'm not exactly sure what this means, but as they say, I know it when I see it. It's part enough acceleration at highway speeds to manage in congestion, and part precise somewhat heavy steering so when you point it down the middle of the road it stays going in that direction. Unfortunately one of our cars has the power, the other has wonderful road feel. I guess comfy seats, quiet, and reasonable visibility factor in too.
So how's the Outback on the highway? We're not in the market right now, but may be in 2-3 years.
