I think there's going to be a seismic shift in thinking. I was thinking plug in hybrid for my next car but see fewer and fewer reasons to not just go straight electric. Tesla has done the "heavy lifting" on charging stations but everyone else is going to catch up quickly. I think the idea is going to catch on FAST. Can you imagine having a gas sucking Raptor and getting smoked by the new electric F150? Or a Hellcat, or Charger, or Mustang or even a Vette and getting humiliated by even middle weight electrics? And the top tier electrics can beat anything--Ferraris, Lambo's, even Bugatti's. And all those people who got caught up in the recent gas shortage hysteria? They can "fill up" right in their own garage. Or when will "preppers" realize that their bad ass pickups aren't going anywhere without gas? You can store gas but you can't make it. You can make electricity from solar and wind forever. All of a sudden the penny is going to drop. Maybe I should get one now.
