It’s somewhat outrageous that federal and state governments provide massive incentives for the purchase of very expensive electric vehicles while other people who don’t have the $40K+ to get one are paying high prices for gas. In LA, regular unleaded is around $4.80/gallon. If upper middle class people want electric cars, they should do so without taxpayer subsidies. (Scott — if you feel this is too political, apologies and please delete!)
