The H-6 is robust but lowest in power output of all 6-cylibders. There is a reason Motor Trend chose the TourX over the Outback 3.6r. The wife's(then girl friend) 2012 Forester would eat tires and the 2.5l emptied my synthetic oil reserves before we traded it on a GMC Terrain that went almost 50K miles on a lease without problems. The Subaru's like to crack their windshield glass. The thin glass to save weight and help fuel economy along with upright profile don't help.

Our old 2018 TourX would see 30 mpg in mixed driving and and the best 25 mile fuel avg was around 50 mpg with 35 mpg on longer drives.
