I originally was supposed to rent the magnum, but there was gunk all over the seats from the prior renter. I did open the hatch, and the cargo area seemed very large, and the 300 had a good sized trunk as well.

The 300s I had had a ESP on/off switch, but I guess from reading your post that this does not impact the TCS ? I pushed this car very aggressively over one of the more twisting roads found anywhere, and the suspension never felt overwhelmed, I slid the rear end thru a good number of the hairpins and found sufficient engine response to bring the car neatly back onto a straight track, very predictable. The road to Hana is notorious for its hairpins as well as fast driving locals who love to pass tourists, and the rentals as well as most of the local rigs could not stay up with 300. Also, the exhaust had a nice throaty sound when accelerating hard.

Styling is of course a matter of personal taste, and the hemi I assume would be a blast to drive. I understand the the 300 T models can be had in the $ 30k or under range, which made the car seem to be a pretty good value by my estimation. A 5 speed auto would be a nice addition.

If you do you own work such as I, the engine seemed very accessible.
