ABS is standard on the touring bikes RT's, GT's and LT's, optional on the R's, S's and GS's, but look for about 95% to have ABS anyway, but not everyone. Check for the ABS ring on the front wheel and of course the flashing red "Brake Failure" or ABS light on the dash.
A VFR is not lighter than an R1150R. Knock on VFR's is they are heavy, and have linked brakes and of course chains and non anti-dive front ends. Very popular bike for folks to move up to BMW's from.
