Everyone I know that owned or leased one of the Trail Blazer line of SUVs complained that the L6 engine was far too thirsty. 17mpg on the highway was the common lament. Some came with a larger V8 that might actually have better fuel economy! But be forewarned that the length of the XL versions is nearly that of a Suburban - without the towing or cargo or passenger capacity.
Plus the L6 is a dead engine. Designed for the Astro vans to provide more foot space for the front passenger but the van was dead before the engine was released. So what do you do with a new engine when its intended market disappears? You put it in an upcoming vehicle which can't accommodate the engine height without punching a hole through the crankcase for the front axle to pass through.
