Buick had larger sized cars through the first decade of this century which have gave them the qadvantage over the smaller European cars. As Buick uses Germany's Opel designs like the Insignia(Regal), Astra(Verano), and Mokka(Encore, today the dependence is on not the crash but anti-collision radar which brakes the car and some luxury models even steer are the norm today.
Our mid-2000's Saabs are not up to date today. :)
