Would you buy a Mustang?

More specifically an older (2004 or earlier) Convertible with
a V6 and an Automatic? I've got a target budget under 10K.
My Saab-owner days are coming to a close, so I'll have to get
another convertible for the 3/4ths of the year around here when
it's warm enough.
They say Miata is always the answer, and my heart agrees, but
the reality of my driving is mostly a short commute (city, highway, then
suburbs) without any curves besides a single off ramp, and a couple
of long-distance trips a year. On the East coast this means driving
either 75 or 0.75 mph, in tight traffic either way. None of that really
plays to the strengths of a 5-speed Miata.
The Volvo C70 soft top models look very nice, but I worry about parts
and the cost of repairs. Similarly for the EOS. The 3-series BMW is
an option, but for all of these availability of parts and repairs in the
more far-flung corners of the country worries me.
All of that sort of points to the Mustang as being an option. An
automatic is probably a better choice for the reality of how and
where I drive, and the V6 seems more than enough.
