Hi Bryan, the old SPG9 A.I.D.'s just keep on retarding with no overall limit like the BTM does. I'm sure your G-9 A.I.D. is the latest version that's fully adjustable (DOESN'T HAVE THE STOP REMOVED!) so I'd use it! Remember that the corrected A.I.D. actually has a curve (that can be changed with the retard spring shims) where the BTM is linear no mater how it's adjusted. You can however add a bleed to atmosphere valve to the BTM so a retard limit can be preset and they are of course less trouble to reset. My Classic 900's and early 9000's get A.I.D.'s rather than MSD's because I like for them to look stock under the hood as rare as my Saab's are, well as least 3 of them! Make sure your (G-9) A.I.D. came with the nifty little retard adjustment tool and the the extra shim assortment? If not let me know and I'll send whatever you're missing. Take care, Dave
