The oil feed for the turbo is through a fitting on the top of the block in the vacinity of the knock sensor. The oil goes through the filter and cooler, then back into the block, and is fed to the turbo under pressure via the passage that leads to this fitting. It is visible through the intake runners from above as a 17mm (or 19mm??) banjo bolt with the silver oil supply line coming off of it.
So in roundabout, yes, it gets filtered. 8)
I forget which supply line goes to and from the cooler, but someone else will surely remember.
