The surge is only happening when I give early full throttle runs in 3rd through 5th gears without downshifting. IE: standing on the throttle at 2500rpm and "waiting for it" vs downshifting back to 2nd, bringing it up to say 6k rpms and then shifting back into 3rd at 3500. (If you are still with me here so far), I'd say somewhere between the 4-5k range is where the surge will come on. I am changing the AIC valve tomorrow, it has been suspect for a liitle while now anyway with some unpredictable idle issues(pre-tune), it has definitely seen better days. I will report back on this tomorrow. Sporadic surge aside, it is still a rocketship and very well behaved everywhere else. A very well thought out tune, VERY efficient.

Interesting about your friends 9000 though.....I have a very fresh but stock engine for the most part. What has the main benefit of porting the wastegate been?(Advantages/setbacks?) I thought I remembered reading about your issues with this recently....I thought it was for similiar boost control issues? Thanks for your insight! :o)
