Sorry to hear about your problem!
Cracks in the cast pistons are common if using a home "tweaked" APC unit or bypassing the APC system (manual boost controller, etc). If the engine was recently rebuilt, the shop may have used a standard cast piston ring which tends to see a very short life within the high nickel block castings of the B202 engine.
A leak down test may be able to determine the extent of these problems and most shops could help with this troubleshooting.
