FWIW, when I did my 2.1l swap on my 1990 SPG, I originally used the factory water feed - the one from between the intake runners. I really don't remember any problems with fitment or clearance... There isn't *that* much of a difference in that area of the engine between a 2.0l and a 2.1l.
Several months ago when I installed my Super 60 I finally switched to the water feed that Dave is describing. It certainly cleans up the plumbing and makes things easier to work on. I'd recommend strongly going that route - you'll find a little head head bolt under the thermostat "outlet" you can remove, and replace with a hose fitting. My issue was finding that hose fittings - there aren't too many '91+ c900Ts in the junkyard...
