Okay, so I know this is just another silly turbo question to some of you, but I'm facing all sorts of confusion as I'm getting ready to replace (and possibly upgrade) the turbo in my 85 SPG.

Some background on the car: 85 SPG, nearing 300,000 miles, looks like 2nd motor out of an 89ish, still running oil cooled turbo, not oil/water. Motor is strong, I've been running at 20+ psi since I've owned the car for over 40,000 miles. 34# injectors, Jak's stage II chip, 3" exhaust, timing has been tweaked, APC has been resistor modded, other basic stuff here and there. Car boosts great making 20-22 psi no problem, holds very well.

Problem is... serious blow-by, I'm finally sick of the smell of burning oil and having to add a quart a week.

So, I'm looking for some turbo recommendations. I've searched lots of the previous posts about turbos for the C900, but unlike seemingly everyone else, I'm not so concerned about top end power. I'm much more of a low to mid range kind of guy, never taking the car beyond 5000 rpms. I also figure the less hard downshifting I do in my old 5 speed is probably for the better.

After looking all over the web at turbos and getting more and more confused, I need some help. I have been tempted to just got a stock replacement turbo from the saab site for 500 bucks, but figure if I'm gonna spend 500 maybe I could spend an extra hundred or two and go upgrade. Buuuut seems like with all the upgraded and usually bigger turbos, I would encounter more lag, not my cup of tea. So I can't emphasize enough, I need your help!

Would the stock be fine for my low end pleasures, or are there upgrades available the will satisfy my needs? I'll also most likely be adding a BOV, not for the sound but to protect against the 20+ psi surging that may be what killed my current snail. Eventually I plan to add a bigger IC as well. Any and all advice, info, links will be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for something that would be a direct bolt in as well, I don't want to have to rework all my plumping and what not.

thanks a lot in advance, I'll be eagerly awaiting some responses.
