I will have to check for leakage like you said... I was pretty sure it was the turbo as I did check for shaft play and it's pretty bad. The mitsu setup sounds very tempting, but I'm wondering if I'd have to do any other mods to use that turbo, or just add the weater cooled stuff? As far as the nissan T3 setup, that sounds pretty good too. I have a friend who has a new or rebuilt T3-60 I think, maybe super 60, from a nissan that he'd let go for a very reasonable price, but we weren't sure how easily it would go into the saab. I'll have to see if he can get me some pics or more detailed specs on that. How much would these things cost approx? How much would it cost for a salvageable mitsu 12B? I could drop Jak a line and find out about rebuilding to 16G. Or how much would the modding of the nissan T3 run me? I'm not too overly concerned about cost, I just want it to be the right setup. That isn't to say I'm ready to drop 1300 for a GT ball-bearing setup though either ;-)
Thanks for the help so far! Both recommendations were things I hadn't thought of or considered yet.
