I have an 8v 900T, bought it with some sort of aftermarket vacuum advance on it for the distributor (looks larger in diameter, milled aluminum body). Much larger range of motion under vacuum than a standard one.
what is the general theory in setting this up? Do I want to try to set it more advanced or retarded at 2000 rpm?
Seat of the pants experimenting: seemed to possibly have more power set at 23 btdc at 2000 rpm compared with stock 20 btdc. But really difficult to say.
