Dropping the rear lower control arm mount would reduce anti-squat. And actually the arms on the C900 are parallel, so there is already zero anti-squat, so this would be building anti-dive geometry into the front. Which I see they are calling anti-lift.
Does anyone know if anti-lift is a rally term? I have never heard it used in road-racing terminology.
Anti-lift geometry would move the lower ball-joint forward on suspension droop, increasing caster angle, which increase the self-centering effect of the tires. This would also feed more steering reaction into the steering wheel (seems like it's steering itself). This seems to be where they are coming up with the reduced corner exit understeer figure, which is not entirely correct, it is more corner exit caster.
The tradeoff would be that there would be more fore/aft diving on braking.
These all seem to me like good things on rally courses with soft springs, but on road racing or street I think that the reduced compliance, especially under acceleration when not on completely smooth surfaces would be a big pain.
Thoughts?
Best,
Drew
