I don't really understand the concept of stiffer springs for higher boost pressure. Under boost condition, there is almost equal pressure on either side of the valve; the vacuum hose is at manifold pressure. On the other hand, regardless of how modified your car is you have the same amount of vacuum to pull the valve open when boost is released. When I had the Forge valve, I followed their recommendations and had the yellow spring installed. The valve would never fully open, and instead of a "whoosh" when I let of the gas, I would hear the chattering of the valve repeatedly trying to open (and failing). I'm sure it wasn't good for the turbo.
