I wondered about this, and was fairly certain that is the case. However, I've checked my fuel economy a few times manually, and always came up with a number within 1 or 2%, so I've always assumed it was accurate. I do have 50# injectors. Thank you for confirming what I've been wondering, I think I'll dig up my old Palm Treo and start using my "Pfuel" program to get an accurate measure over time.
If any of you aren't aware of Pfuel, the program should have newer versions that work good with new smartphones, but you simply enter your fuel volume, mileage, and cost at each fill-up, and the program calculates economy, cost per mile, and some other attributes, as well as displays the information in graphs. I used it extensively some years ago when I was making my own diesel fuel.
