Mike, this has been my problem with this whole thread. There are LEGITIMATE reasons to go with the ECU over the MBC as outlined in the rest of the thread. However, yours are not legitimate.
With T5 Management...
The ECU adapts beautifully
The fuel mileage is just fine (My car makes 330+whp on manual boost control and gets 20+ miles to the gallon in town and mid 30s on the highway with a heavy foot.)
The fuel cut can be abated (though this is not wise on a novice level)
Spike can be controlled by different combinations of boost signal source, WGA spring pressure and MBC spring pressure. It does not have to be huge just because you run manual boost control.
My point is that you should argue based on the facts.
