Just like to second drupchen's and others remarks.
-Dropping the oil pan and cleaning is the safest and most reliable way to remove the deposits. If your worried about cost, Buy some plastic ramps and chalks and DIY ;)
-The deposits that are in the engine are best left alone. I have an experienced mechanic friend who worked Ford for several years. Ford used to recommend taking apart the engines to clean sludge. What the engineers with ford discovered is it was actual more harmful to the car and the sludge dpeosits were usually formed in pathways where the flow of oil was NOT restricted. Ford now recommends not to clean out the engine.
-I then would imagine others mention of the flushes breaking apart larger pieces where sludge isn't causing an issue and having these chunks now flowing into your oil system causing bigger problems .. to be correct.
-Besides the motor flush is hard on the seals, especially for turbos. Unless you want to cause more problems i'd stay away.
..Thats just my two cents..
