Guess I could use a fuel injection version of GM carburator from the early 1980's, making the engine a "wet" manifold.
I would definately need to create a pressurized injection system, but the "wet" manifold with a GM style 2 barrel injected carburator would fit the bill as it is standardly sized, common, easily adapted to fit a smaller 2bbl manifold, and easily rebuilt.
I just need to understand more about the Megasquirt, especially how it "self tunes/auto tunes". The Edelbrock system just bolts right on and fires up the engine. Can I do the same with the Megasquirt unit you suggest?
The Toyota six cylinder engine is strongly based on the straight six Chevrolet engine so there should be no issues there.I have converted to HEI type distributor, so points are out of the system.
Thanks!
