the M89+ boxes use higher final ratio, for a bit less torque thru the gears. They also have bigger pinion brg (my smaller 83T brg went bad in 70K miles, only a few K at 13 psi max boost, vs stock).
Third gear set sees highest sustained tooth loads. It also is quite far from brg supports, so gear spreading is likely, increasing fatigue stress.
There is some variation in bearing preload, etc, for varied life, but I would not bet on your trans lasting long.
This box is not much different than the old na 99 it was spec'd for. I think it actually is related to an old british 1.3L car.
It would help to get oem supplier to make new complete gearsets from a nasty gear steel, cryo them, then peen the tooth roots.
