You are correct on all most all point.
Lowering the car changes the suspension geometry adversly. When the car is lowered to far the roll center goes below ground reducing the roll stiffness of the higher rated spring. By building a longer lower ball joint to move the outer end of the lower control arm down you can solve that problem. This brings up another problem of increased bump steer which is also correctable.
As for the rear. If the lower control arm is going down hill toward the front, rear roll steer is working against you causing even more push.
On this next point of the higher spring rate causing chassis problems I agree and disagree. If you are take a specic turn at the same speed with either stock or higher spring rates the load on the spring pearch is the same the only difference is that the body does not roll as much. The amount of load has to be the same, check the math. When you are able to increase the speed in that same turn due to better roll control the the load will increase. Now consider a classic 900 when driven hard is riding on the bumpstops with little or no absobtion of load every thing going directly to the spring mounting area.
If it of any interest we have used 700# on our circle track cars running 1/2 high bank asphalt(30 degree banking).
Yes the Cadillac ride and quitness are gone.
