Nice. Last night, I met up with Nolan. I got introduced to Nolan through
my engine builder. Nolan is an EFI guru, burns his own chips for Cyclones
and Typhoons. Has his own wideband ("yeah, I have one in my wife's truck,
and one in mine").

He came by, checked out the car, and then we just drove. Unfortunately, his own wideband wasn't available just yet, he's building another one with a stand alone display, but his input was amazing. The guy knows his stuff but good, I am very fortunate to have his expertise.

The car ran nicely, but Nolan's input was critical for he spotted some
issues in my timing map. There was a big jump which I think was attributed
to a typing error in Roger Bell's ignition map. Then Nolan also saw that my load based ignition map was wonky. Turns out I put advance where there should have been retard, and vice versa! Nuts.

So, I have the go-ahead from Nolan to drive the car, to break it in. Good
to go, not too rich (ie. eye watering rich). Not going to be bagging it,
but still slightly aggressive in the break in process.

Next step - play with the cold start to get it nice, likely needs more
fuel. After that, once the motor's broken in, get the wideband on, and
then WOT runs.

Oh, and I put my S&R skidplate on the car too, along with the 16"
Griffin cross spoke wheels with winter rubber...

I think the S&R skidplate was designed for 900s with 5 speeds and 99s with 4 speeds, coz with the 4 speed in my SPG, the oil drain plug hole in the plate is slightly off. Not a big deal, nothing my dremel won't fix. I think I will post a picture of the car with the cross spokes soon too. Unfortunately, I lost one of the centre caps, so I'm running everything open lug at the moment. Duh.
