first, I live in california as well. In San Luis Obispo actually, so we have the same gas available, and I drive a 93 9k Aero. The first thing you need to know is that even though that gas costs .20 more per gallon, your car will run so much better with 91 in the tank instead of 87. No performance mods, just better gas. Our cars battle knock enough as it is, if you feed them poor grade gas, you are just adding to the problem. I swear to you Tony, you will enjoy the good gas once you buy it. Sorry I don't know the scientific argument why its better, but someone else will surely fill you in. If you want more information you could also do a search of this board for octane, or gas grades, or etc. Try a couple tanks for me and for your car~
