... where I managed 305 last time round. However, I think Alan's a bit jealous of my nice fat torque curve. It'll be interesting to see how the straight-line acceleration of the two cars compares on the track in a couple of weeks - hope we get a dry day or my tyre/suspension setup will skew the results too much in my favour and the comparison won't be valid.
We had been discussing in a previous post about how the smaller plug gaps I used before gave me more bhp than large gaps. This time, I used BCPR7ES-11 gapped to 1.1mm, as per Dr. Boost's spec., and adapted the ECU. Although peak power was down about 2.5% this time and peak torque down about 3% (easily small enough to have been down to ambient conditions), torque was up a consistent 20lbft from 1500-2500rpm, compared to the previous run a few weeks ago with the smaller gaps. Not only that, but I could feel the difference in responsiveness and with this setup I was embarrassing TVR and Ferrari drivers on a track day during the week.
