Al, I think water injection would probably lower the risk of damaging
your pistons. It would lower the charge-air temperature and correspondingly, the EGT's as well. A KJ intercooler would lower
the temperatures, pressure loss vis-a-vis the stock IC, and risk,
even more.
Bill, I'm not sure, off-hand, what the part no's are for the 'Green
Giants' - I tried to search my past posts on this subject, but for
some reason only a small portion of my past posts have been archived.
When I get back to the states, I'll look them up and re-post. The
intercooler I got thru Karl - I think direct from Kylar Jonson as the
price I paid was substantially less than what I see them advertised
thru Speedparts, or Engstrom.
Finally, I'd like to say thanks, Bill, for inviting me to witness the
dyno event. It confirmed my opinion that Saab fanatics are the most
intelligent and interesting motor-heads. I hope that if any of you
should come to the states that you'll grant me the honor of buying
you a pint of whatever, and I promise I'll try not to spill any on
you!
