Tricking ECU

From my understanding of the Bosch ECU, there are 2 modes.
Closed loop and open loop.
At closed loop, or partial throttle the ECU listens to the O2 sensor and makes adjustments to the pulse width of the injectors.
At wide open throttle the ECU goes to open loop and just goes by the tables programmed in the ECU. We all know that the tables doen't work with larger injectors so that's why we try to mess with the fuel pressure.
So my thinking is this.
Can I mess with the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) so it will never register WOT (Wide Open Throttle)? Then the ECU will always look at the O2 sensor and make corrections even at full throttle. Then I can richen up the mixture myself with the RRFPR.
All opinions welcome.
