Hi !
Disconnecting the throttlebody preheating lines will not result in a "huge power increase", I would be a little bit surprised if you can se any difference at all. But, on the other hand, removing heat from the charge air is a good idea. Maybe someone of you have some time to calculate the temperature increase of the charge air with the heating lines connected.
Remember that the air velocity through the throttlebody is quite high, and the surface is not so huge.
So, what I'm trying to say, don't spend big bucks on a project like this, cause it won't pay off.
AND, just remember to connect to heating hoses when the temperature falls. A frozen throttle can be an interesting experience, trust me I konow....
BTW: If you are thinking of a project like this, just make sure that you DO NOT interupt the coolant flow for "other functions".
