You need to check the 900 Turbo and verify the APC is under the back seat. I bought an 1985 4 door 900 turbo on 5 July 1985, VIN YS3AT45LSF1022464, ENGINE NUMBER 9139. The APC is in the same place as my 1988 SPG, left wheel well. Also when my friend bought an 1987 900 Turbo and upgraded with the SAAB tune up kit, I tried his new APC on my 1985 turbo, It fit and worked great. I was going to upgrade the APC on the 85, but settled for trading the 85 in for my 1988 SPG. So a normal APC upgrade may work. But always check what is on the car you are buying

Never assume the cars are all the same. And newer is not always better. My 1985 4 door turbo could have kept up with my SPG. I even had to call SAAB USA in Orange CT as to why my times on th eSPG were not up to specs with my 85. Carton Dingman, the Performance Manager in 1988, told me I needed to wait until I had at least 5-6K miles before I started to worry and to continue to break teh car in as I was intending to drive it.
