Exhaust loudness question, gutting/removing cat...

Hey guys,
Saving up some money to Brad's new TE05 downpipe, I was thinking about removing the cat from my 2.5" cat back system as his downpipe doesn't have a cat adapter, yet anyway. I believe it can include a test pipe for an additional cost. The only thing worrying me is how loud it might be.
The cat in my current exhaust system is a universal 2.5" high flow cat bought from a parts vendor at a car show. The muffler is a 2.5" glasspack, and the rest is 2.5" piping, currently with a 2.5" Saab Savior downpipe.
It isn't really too loud, you can hear me coming, but it's not neighborhood obnoxious, just sounds like a SAAB turbo with a 2.5" system ( :
If I remove the high flow cat, will the noise increase to a much louder volume than before, or will it only be a small increase as the cat I have is already high flow unit. Sounds like a dumb idea, but if I added another straight through glasspack, would it absorb a little more sound?
Thanks for the help,
Taylor

RIP Kyle & Tim
