Honeycombs really can only develop strength with thickness, and that might be too much.

It is hard to beat the strength/stiffness:weight ratios of plywood! ABS will not be stable in the heat of a closed vehicle in the summer sun and might be a problem when very cold. In the cold it will want to contract and will crack if constrained. Fiberglass is heavy by itself and has little stiffness in a large sheet. Thin fiberglass over thin plywood will develop good stiffness. But for the same weight as the result, the same weight in thicker plywood may be stiffer and stronger. If you want to apply hinges and fittings, this is easy with wood. With some other materials, the stress from such fasterners can be unworkable.

Watch what adhesives you use. They may not stand up to the summer heat. And some carpets and adhesives my volitize in the heat and you might not like the stink and the windows may get filmed up too.

For composite materials, look at what folks use for home built aircraft. They are after lightweight strength. They use very strong plywoods. Kelvar fabic can create structures with close to 1/2 the weight that fiberglass contributes.

Sheets of fiberglass, ABS or metal will have some tendancies to vibrate. Plywood or laminated plywood will not 'ring' or 'drum' and will be disapative of vibration or shock.

With curves and other such design elements to deal with, a cardboard or styrofoam. Some carboard faces foam board might be handy too.

Watch how to attach and secure all of this. This decking is not going to stop the chassis from flexing. But the decking may end up creaking and sqeaking depending on how it is secured. A felt or chip board attachment buffer might be a good idea.

For compartments and fittings, some marine hardware might be good to look at when dealing with wood or wood+composite structures.
