I also am not going for a "headline reaching" HP # & if I was I would obviously be aiming for over 600 HP to beat a car is FL but that's not my idea. I feel the only way to get the best of all worlds is to go with a aftermarket stand alone ECU so the person simply reprograms the ECU via a laptop to adapt to any changes vs relying on someone else to program a chip. This I feel will make this type of setup very driveable be it on a twisty road or a roadcoarse. If I get 250 HP or 400 HP I really do not care, it will just be a setup which will not make me wait forever for HP & be driveable in all conditions 9 months out of the year. For the 1500 ish miles I drove my car with the stock ECU & the GT turbo I hit the max 7 psi at about 3000 RPM's, dam quick for only 7 psi to!
I also sized my turbo accordingly so I didn't have to run 20+ PSI to have any power. This also gives me the option to develop higher HP #'s if I feel like I need it.
Then again who am I to say, I am just a funeral diretor :o)
