piping in on oil change intervals Posted by jak [Email] (#195) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jak) on Mon, 3 May 2004 16:13:23 In Reply to: I am, but, Eiron, Mon, 3 May 2004 13:16:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I know this will probably come off as arguementative BUT!
I dont care what anyone says I dont care if you have your oil sent off to a lab to be checked carbon particulates are acumulative on a time base it is great that the synth oil holds up better than the dyno but if you let it load up with carbon its still grinding your bearings up
now if you were running some kind of killer filter allong with the synth I could see 10Kmi service intervals on oil otherwise I think its just abusive you arent saving that much money you are in my opinion better off with dyno at 3Kmi service intervals than with synth at 10K mi intervals
I have been in the biz for 22 years & that is my opinion on the matter
take care
