Abott ECUs used to have replacement wastegate actuators. Perhaps that provides much of what a SMBC attempts to do by keeping the WG closed to a greater extent than the stock WGA provides.
I have not pushed my SMBC to get high pressures. But in many situations I do get the traction control to light up in 1st gear. Much of this is, I expect, from the non-linear boost which creates a weight transfer lurch that unloads the front tires. Oh the suffering of too much non linear acceleration!
Since a 2500+ mile road trip, acceleration and traction seem much better with fresh tire tread exposed from wear.
