because boost on my 1993 automatic car with three simple modifications - JT turbo-back exhaust/cat, ITG filter and snipped wire to pin 14 on the ECU - goes up to the beginning of the red and stays there all up the rev range. Maximum power with this setup is about 235 bhp on the basis that (1) JT gives 10 bhp) and (2) extra boost gives 10% more power) but it could well be substantially less. I just know I overtake people a lot.
Usual suspects for your problem if you hadn't fitted the MBC, and therefore nuked the ECU's control over mixture, would be plugs (correct NGKs), mixture (check plugs, air intake temperature sensor and your temperature gauge), fuel quality and octane, leaks in plumbing/hooter valve and so forth. The standard FPR should be fine for your likely power output, and I reckon the T25 is too.
If it were me I'd pull the MBC and fix any problems with the standard set-up. Maybe there's a problem with the waste-gate, which the MBC is trying to mask but can't?
Would love to know what you find over the weekend!
