which will not be me!
Street's advice on the exhaust is sound stuff but doesn't really explain why the car runs OK with the BPC. On the other hand, if I were trying for more boost I'd start with the exhaust - the small but useful improvement you get from a 3" exhaust with standard ECU is translated into a much bigger gain when teamed with ECU upgrades.
On that topic, some people find they need to adjust base boost after fitting bigger exhausts. Have you checked your base boost, by the way? I find the easiest way on my automatic is by playing with the cruise control.
The .85 bar you get with the BPC installed is higher than standard (.79 bar, I think ) so either you've got a pretty good standard set-up or the gauge is a bit off.
Also, I don't see how you can get fuel cut-off at 2 or 3 K but still only .9 bar boost.
Have you tried the famous "fuse 9" trick? As I'm sure you know, pulling this fuse will stop the ECU knowing that the car has an automatic box, so you should get manual-level boost of 9.4 bar. If you do this on a temporary basis, with the BPC installed, and find you get better boost than with the MBC (and without the fuel cut-off) you could always put a switch in the wire, ur just cut it (info. on the 9000 board) and junk the MBC. You'll be getting pretty good boost, no taper (on decent fuel) and the safety factor of the BPC system.
PS. First time you accelerate after taking the fuse out, you may get base boost, but don't panic - full boost comes back almost straight away.
