There's no way on earth your Saab (particularly a stock automatic) ran with a supercharged Cobra. The torque curve is unbelievably flat on those cars, and they scream on the highway. A Z06 Corvette is probably one of the only non-exotic cars around that could outrun one on a highway, stock for stock.
He wasn't trying to race.
