Ragingly personal opinions:
Phantom Grip is junk. Wouldn't touch that with a ten-foot halfshaft. I would not touch any spring-actuated friction diff in a FWD application, particularly not some cobbled-up retrofit thing wedged into a stock open diff.
Quaife is da bomb. Wonderful piece of hardware, warranteed forever pretty much no matter what you do to it. Expensive, and all the FWD-friendly torque-biasing diffs have a couple quirks to their behavior. Need 20-25 unit buy to set up tooling on a new design.
Torsen T-1 design is pretty much obsolete now. T-2 design similar to Quaife, Zexel Torsen doesn't generally bother with low-volume aftermarket applications. T-2R fixes some of the typical torque-biasing-diff quirks but in a not particularly FWD-friendly way.
Don't think Tractech (TrueTrac) any more friendly to low-volume aftermarket appliations than Zexel is.
Peloquin looks comparable to Quaife, heard good things about them from VW community but no personal experience.
There are other vendors that specialize in RWD product e.g. Dan Press Industries/Gold Trac.
As for all of the Gerodisc/Hydratrak/etc. type hydraulically-operated friction diffs, these vendors don't seem inclined to deal with low-volume aftermarket apps. These work well, don't have the quirks of the torque-biasing diff but aren't as much 'fun' either.
Torque-biasing diff quirks: Can provoke torque-steer depending on scrub radius, wheel offset, etc. Hard throttle application at near-full-lock can produce significant wheel-fight. Worm-gears create a lot of wiping friction; can create a lot of heat in very high-HP applications and require a cooler and pump.
