i think they are both good. but for added protection the heavyweight will protect better under load. but the drawback is cold weather and warmup. if you can drive down a road for a mile or so even when cold the oil will warm and function smooth. but if you have to immediatley be in start/stop conditions before rolling much, it might not be good over the long haul to use heavyweight. ive talked to folks who live rural and said the heavy oil is fine-even in cold mornings.

the lightweight makes the shifting consistently smooth because warmup is generally not necessary for smooth effortless shifting. both will protect well, but cautious with heavyweight right at warmup is th eonly issue.
