why? well I always liked the sonett in the looks department and I would like to get one but in my opinion, front wheel drive is terrible. Now before you get crazy and start chewing me a new one about the weight distribution of the sonett, please know that I have some idea of what Im talking about. I worked part time in a vintage race car shop (as assistant engine builder) while I went to school for automotive when I was younger. Now Im an ASE master technician at a General Motors dealership for 5 years. I own a 65 chrysler, 79 F150, 60 Impala that I bought as a 4dr sport sadan (canopy top) that I cut in half, took 24" out and put back together as a 2dr(stubby), and a strip mustang with a 347 stroker that I built from scratch (machine work, balance and blueprint). With that said Im sure that I would try to use the V4 motor but with a serious build to it. I would be suprised if the front wheel drive would provide enough traction not to mention the fact that it would push around turns. Now if someone has a well built V4 in there sonett and doesnt have traction issues than I will GLADLY stand corrected. 1 last thing. If I had the sonett it would be driven, not for show. I never understood show cars... That, to me, is worth a bigger ???WHY???
