...You wouldn't believe what I have gone through to give you this site. Sabnet cut off my access for 3 days as I tried to post multiple links in a format Sabnet does not accept. I guess it is my fault, but I really think that posting links should be easier. Saabnet still does not want to accept the post, so if you email me I will email the vintagesaab site. It is an organization. I wish I could post it here so future searches would show the URL, but I have gotten 2 warning meassages and I fear losing access for several more days over this issue.
As far as bracing goes, before you cut anything out of the frame, you need to weld a brace over the area to prevent the weakenned area from bending/flexing. I am not sure, but I believe the rollcage built into the body also provides rigidity to the frame, so before you remove it you may need to brace any weak areas. Bracing is a well recognized but infrequently talked about process that is ESSENTIAL for good restoration.
Email me for the link, as Saabnet seems to be preventing me from posting it. WHY IS THE SITE DOING THIS SCOTT???
