...Well, got back to my 1974 (1968 is still sitting pretty.)

Had to re-trim my Sanden A/C compressor adapter a la H Freeman instructions. First trim was hitting the fuel line. Now things are perfect. I had tried inverting the stock fuel pump and rotating the cover 180 degrees to make things fit behind the untrimmed plate, but I developed a stalling issue and returned to stock. Now things fit and there is no stalling or hesitation.

Radiator support attachement bolt was spinning in the rad so I needed to unbraze the attachment, weld the bolt to the attachement, and rebraze the assembly to the rad. (Spelling for braze/braize/whatever). Took weeks to agonize over and minutes to complete from soup to nuts. (I used high temp flux cored solder, and then painted the unit as I don't have tar at my disposal).

Fan blades were splayed forward and would have hit the rad, but I had another fan (red type that works with A/C).

Now I just need to measure the proper legnth for the belt (unless anyone knows).

I will be rebuilding the A/C hoses this week and I will be taking pictures to show people how I do it.

Then some minor rust inhibition and primer and I am finally done for this year. When the winter hits, it is fuel injection time because I am comfortable with the fact that I have all the necessary parts and knowledge.

I am finally just about done with stage I on this bad boy. I am stoked.
