If that did not work, I would have gone to a machine shoppe with the broken pulley. I'd of had them machine a new 'nipple' part into the pulley, and machine in a new woodruff key space. I would have made sure that the part where the 'nipple' sticks out past the pulley was significantly wider, so when the unit was tightenned it would all be held together. I would have finally had a hole drilled half in the new 'nipple' and half in the pulley (parrallel to the shaft) that I would have stuffed with a threaded post to prevent the new 'nipple' from spinning from withing the pulley. I finally woulda shelled out $100-200 for this repair. The replacement pulley was 50 clams. A relative bargain.
Best,
C
