Hi, Damon.
I had a similar problem with my check engine light going on and off for seemingly no reason. The problem turned out to be a corrupted oxygen sensor, so you might wish to check that out. I had a leaky turbo dripping onto the oxygen sensor, so I had to replace both.
Good luck. Whatever the problem, I hope it's cheap to fix!
